Okay, so I've determined that I need to work with color more so I crept through my folder of color schemes I saved from the color palettes blog I follow on Tumblr and picked the "Let Them Eat Cake" one 
I'm not sure if I like the results but I had a lot of fun working on this 
don't know if I'll make this chick a character but I've been drawing one a lot lately with her design so I might as well at some point. I'm not sure what I'll use her for but maybe I can come up with something

Susan, can I just say I LOVE this new chibi style of yours?
I think it presents itself as a lot more flexible and might allow you to try out new stuff, like this! I love what you've done with the lighting for this colour palette, it gives a pretty strong impact even while it's all pastels! I adore it ;u;
